Turkey, Greece and Results

Hello all!

Joe and I had an amazing time whilst in Turkey and Greece. I saw so much cool wildlife: a snake, some lizards, some tortoises, a gecko and a huge grasshopper thing. Also saw loads of beautiful scenery and sites. Many of which can be seen on the flickr page. Go look at the photos!

Whilst in Greece we also got our University results. I got a first which I am really pleased about. It made a brilliant holiday brillianter.

In the next week I’m going to Glastonbury, graduating and starting a job.

Gosh.

I shall leave you with one of my favourite pictures from the holiday.

I can always become a chemist.

The best meeting ever

A board room belonging to an advertising campaign. Nature walks in. People don’t love it enough, it needs a strategy to get people on its side.

Nature: Thanks for seeing me, I really need to do something to get people to like me! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I’ve made beautiful flowers, landscapes, have you seen the size of a blue whale compared to a hummingbird? How amazing is that?! What more could people want?!
Agency Rep: Cute sells.
N: Cute?
AR: Yeah people like cute these days.
N: I’ve made like…hamsters. They’re cute.
AR: No you don’t understand. That’s not the cutest thing.
N: Ok well. What can I do?
AR: Hm. Well….fluffy is good. Stick with that. Maybe change the eyes.
N: Like make them bigger?
AR: Yeah! Make them bigger, have them turn up a little bit too.
N: Ok and what else?
AR: Give it characteristics that humans can anthropomorphise. Make it do something adorable. So adorable that people must squeal when they see it. So adorable it makes people put on a baby voice and want to hug it and snuggle it forever.
N: Like…when you tickle it? It…stretches? And when you stop…it looks sad?
AR: YES! YOU’VE GOT IT!
N: You have to be kidding that’s so-
AR: FILM IT. PUT IT ON YOUTUBE.

I present to you, the slow loris.

Greedy Jack

As far as I can tell this news story is about a dog that has learnt English and is trying to communicate with its owners. The BBC have given it a different slant though.

Out For A Spin

Today the sun was shining and my next exam was over a week away. These are the perfect conditions for an ice cream on the meadows and a test of my new camera.

Blossom In The Meadows

Just one of the photos I took today. The rest are on my brand new flickr account. Shiny.
